I believe that education is very important. Children should be able to have fun while learning though. My mother-in-law bought my little man a Discovery Toy several years ago, and he loved it. Not only did he love playing with it but he learned a lot from that toy. I then decided to sign up so that I could then buy my own Discovery Toys for my little man. Today I would love to giveaway some Discovery Toys so that you can enjoy one too.

Yes, us moms’ need timeouts too. We give of yourselves constantly. This drains us, so we need to find ways to restore ourselves. If we do not do this we are no good for ourselves or anyone else for that matter. For example it is like a pitcher. As long as the pitcher has something in it we can receive from it. If it is empty there is nothing for it to give. We must keep refilling the pitcher to receive from it. We must do the same. We have nothing to give if we are empty. Every time we give of ourselves we need a refill.

This means taking the time out of our busy lives to spend some time on us. So what is it that you like to do? What restores you? Is it time alone reading, or giving yourself some needed TLC. Is it hanging out with a friend for a girls night out? Whatever it is then do it. Do what ever it takes to make it happen.

I have a time out basket. It has some things that I have found over time that I enjoy using. This basket holds many things for me such as.

Victoria’s Secret body spray
Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy SPA
Bath & Body Works travel size lotion
Montagne Jeunesse products like a Sauna Masque & Tired Leg Gel
a hand held massager
candle
body scrub
and more

As you can see this is an easy thing to create. All you need is a basket and then to fill it with some SPA products or other things that you would enjoy using. You can even create a timeout basket for your special spot like one with books and magazines, or one in the kitchen with a special tea cup and teas. Just use your imagination the possibilities are endless.

This would be a great gift for Mother’s Day!

Today I am spot cleaning our carpets. O so much fun! Well, I am using the Dirt Devil Spot Scrubber and I love this machine. It will not vacuum up crumbs. That is not what it is designed to do. The Dirt Devil Spot Scrubber is for cleaning up liquids. This is a hand held device so it can be used inside the house or you can use it in your car. The only thing that I would like to change about it is that it is not cordless. Now that I own one I would not want to live without it. My little man has created messes for me just so that I can use it.

Their is nothing like an icy cold glass of lemonade on a hot day.

You will need:

10 large lemons, 2 cups of sugar, 12 cups of water

Step one: make simple syrup, bring 2 cups of water to boil, then add 4 cups of sugar, soon after it dissolves remove it from the stove

Step two: juice lemons into a bowel

Step three: pour lemon juice and simple syrup into a galen pitcher, and add 12 cups of cold water then stir
