Do you need to get your kids to eat there vegetables? This is a dish that they may like. Mine does.
First peel several fresh yams. Then dice them up. Place them in a hot pan that you have melted a tablespoon of butter in. Sprinkle in some salt, sugar and cinnamon to taste. Stir often. Let it cook now until fork tender. Enjoy.

Simple Syrup is easy to make. You take one part water to two parts sugar.
Bring water to a boil and then add your sugar. As soon as the sugar melts remove it from the heat. Let is cool and then store in a sealed container in the refrigerator.
