Hi Shelly
I found the bat cookie cutter at the AcMore craft store. It was the Halloween season so I was surprised how hard it was to find. I did look online for one but didn't have any luck. Some good places to check would be Walmart, craft stores, party stores, and the Dollar stores. I'm sorry wish that I could be of better help. The size of mine is 4 3/4th X 2 1/2th.

Please let me know if you find one. I would like to have some other sizes.

Hi Paula
Yes this is an one excerpt from the poem "Desiderata". Sometimes we all need to be reminded of things like this.

I'm a native Marylander turned recent Florida transplant, and so in an effort to inject a bit of Chesapeake Bay flavor into our first Christmas festivities away from our home state I decided to make this recipe (I even had some real Chesapeake Bay Blue Crab meat overnighted in for the authentic flavor!). I did, however, make a few modifications that I thought I'd share in case anyone has a preference for the same:

1. Add 4 tbsp of cornstarch to really thicken the soup.
2. Use only 1/2 cup of milk.
3. Add 1/2 cup of Cream Sherry.
4. Add 1 tbsp dried Parsley flakes, & 1/2 tbsp black pepper.

Everything came out perfectly--the soup was so rich and thick that constituted an entire meal on it's own. Most importantly, it helped bring a little bit of Maryland home for the Holidays. Thanks for the recipe!
