Yes, us moms’ need timeouts too. We give of yourselves constantly. This drains us, so we need to find ways to restore ourselves. If we do not do this we are no good for ourselves or anyone else for that matter. For example it is like a pitcher. As long as the pitcher has something in it we can receive from it. If it is empty there is nothing for it to give. We must keep refilling the pitcher to receive from it. We must do the same. We have nothing to give if we are empty. Every time we give of ourselves we need a refill.

This means taking the time out of our busy lives to spend some time on us. So what is it that you like to do? What restores you? Is it time alone reading, or giving yourself some needed TLC. Is it hanging out with a friend for a girls night out? Whatever it is then do it. Do what ever it takes to make it happen.

I have a time out basket. It has some things that I have found over time that I enjoy using. This basket holds many things for me such as.

Victoria’s Secret body spray
Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy SPA
Bath & Body Works travel size lotion
Montagne Jeunesse products like a Sauna Masque & Tired Leg Gel
a hand held massager
candle
body scrub
and more

As you can see this is an easy thing to create. All you need is a basket and then to fill it with some SPA products or other things that you would enjoy using. You can even create a timeout basket for your special spot like one with books and magazines, or one in the kitchen with a special tea cup and teas. Just use your imagination the possibilities are endless.

This would be a great gift for Mother’s Day!

The past few days have been crazy. We had a water pipe in the apartment above us bust three nights ago and we had to take everything out of little mans room. Luckily most of the water ended up outside but some did come in. His carpet and his bed and a few other things were wet. The men just replaced the padding under the carpet today. Now the task of getting everything back into his room. Now back to my writing.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The word love has many different meanings in English, from something that gives a little pleasure (“I loved that meal”) to something one would die for (patriotism, family). It can describe an intense feeling of affection, an emotion or an emotional state. In ordinary use, it usually refers to interpersonal love. Probably due to its psychological relevance, love is one of the most common themes in art and music.

Just as there are many types of lovers, there are many kinds of love. Though love is inherent in all human cultures, cultural differences make any universal definition difficult to establish.[1] One definition attempting to be universally applicable is Thomas Jay Oord’s: to love is to act intentionally, in sympathetic response to others (including God), to promote overall well-being. This definition applies to the positive connotations of love.

Expressions of love may include the love for a “soul” or mind, the love of laws and organizations, love for a body, love for nature, love of food, love of money, love for learning, love of power, love of fame, love for the respect of others, etcetera. Different people place varying degrees of importance on the kinds of love they receive. According to many philosophers, the only goal of life is to be happy. And there is only one happiness in life: to love and be loved. Love is essentially an abstract concept, much easier to experience than to explain.

Tonight Mattel has announced another recall for some of there toys. Does anyone else agree with me that this is ridicules to say the least! What is going on at Mattel! Words can not even express how I feel. I think if I have to go through little man’s toys one more time I will scream. How does a large company like Mattel not catch this before our children get these toys. I do love a lot of there toys. I grew up with Mattel Barbie and other toys form them. What do you do as a parent? I am so glad that we do live in America and have other options. If we wanted to we could boycott Mattel and still have so many options for our children that are safe. How many more times do we have to see Bob Eckert give us a feel good message?

I am a woman who loves to Live, lives to Laugh & Love. My life is a constant lesson teaching me every step of the way, and learning is something that I love to do. Finding joy in the little things is what my little man always reminds me to do. The little things in life have always been my favorite things. I love watching the flowers grow, and the world go by.

Don’t need all of the new tech gadgets and really could care less about some of them. My husband is the total opposite! Not that it is wrong. It just isn’t me.

Crafts and cooking are my things. Putting my hands to work creating something new. Experimenting through cooking, and yes my husband is still alive so my cooking can’t be to bad. I also love to know how things work. Just in general. Any thing. I just need to know.

I am a wife of a blogger and that doesn’t even begin to describe him (technosailor.com). A mother of one and a friend to many. I hope to share with you over time things that I have learned and are still learning. Remember always to Live, Laugh, and Love!
