Making Homemade Sweet Ice Tea
Apr 15th, 2008 by admin
Yes, my roots are from the South, but I don’t make ice tea as sweet as my grandmother did.
First I put 6 small Lipton tea bags in a small pot. Then fill the pot with water and place on stove. Set the temperature to medium and let it sit for about 5 min. The longer that you simmer it the stronger the tea will be. I like mine strong so I let mine sit until it is very dark in color. Once the tea is ready add it and 1 1/2 cups of sugar to a 1 gal. pitcher. Stere until sugar is de-solved. Now finish filling the pitcher with water and stere a little. Now enjoy!
